This podcast is being produce at the Walter Cronkite School of Mass Communications, in conjunction with the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship. It is designed to be part of the capstone experience in our master's program. On Loving God is one of the best-known and most influential works of Medieval Christian mysticism. Written at the request of one of the cardinals of Rome, it describes the four levels of love for God, and puts Christian devotion in the context of Gods love for mankind. (Summary by RK Wilcox) John Carter, an American Civil War veteran, goes prospecting in Arizona and, when set upon by Indians, is mysteriously transported to Mars, called "Barsoom" by its inhabitants. Carter finds that he has great strength on this planet, due to its lesser gravity. Carter soon falls in among the Tharks, a nomadic tribe of the planet's warlike, four-armed, green inhabitants. Thanks to his strength and combat abilities he rises in position in the tribe and earns the respect eventually the friendship of Tars Tarkas one of the Thark chiefs. The Tharks subsequently capture Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, a member of the humanoid red Martian race. The red Martians inhabit a loose network of city states and control the desert planet's canals, along which its agriculture is concentrated. Carter rescues her from the green men to return her to her people. (Summary from Wikipedia) Zen DeHoag and Kevin Peace are two 30 something men from Flagstaff, Arizona who love movies, music, games, tech and all pop culture. They are experts at nothing, but ready to talk about anything. All topics are approached with humor and taken apart with trivia. New shows recorded every 2 weeks. Steve Robinson is an Orthodox Christian living in Phoenix Arizona and owns his own construction company. Prior to becoming Orthodox, he was an evangelical pastor and church leader. More recently, he established one of the most popular Orthodox podcasts on the planet Our Life in Christ which he hosts with his friend Bill Gould. In this shorter podcast, Steve reflects on the practical side of being an Orthodox Christian working in a secular environment. Grad students of the future comne to study sexual anthropology here in their past at a cheap motel at the butt end of Tucson, Arizona. They find motel owner Elmo Skinner, who watches his customers on hidden cameras. The experiment: drop Elmo's mind into the people he's watching.
